It was supposed to be a normal night
You didn't have any particular plans. Maybe troll a few of your friends for awhile, maybe work on a project, or maybe pull yourself away from one to go out for awhile, but nothing special. Whatever you end up doing, the one thing you did expect is for it to be a quiet night.
But expectations can turn out to be wrong so easily, in so many different ways. And in the end the one thing that's certain is that your night was not a quiet one. It could just be a night to remember. Or a night you'd much rather forget.
It might even be the last night you ever see.
